    terms & conditions

    All bookings with For Keeps Events are subject to our terms and conditions.

    Every contract will has specific terms and conditions as required for the clients booking.

    We are more than happy to talk through these with you at anytime to help clarify.

    Confirmation Of Booking:

    On receipt of signed quote acceptance, a deposit invoice and contract will be issued. The deposit invoice will be equivalent to 50% of the quote.

    A booking is only confirmed deposit payment is received, a signed contract returned and credit card supplied to hold against the booking.

    ​

    Pricing:

    All prices contained within are accurate at the time of quoting and print but subject to change. All prices are inclusive of GST. A surcharge will apply on public holidays.

    Prices quoted are only used as an estimate of cost and may be subject to change at any time. You will be advised in advance of increased prices and given opportunity to accept change or accept an alternative option.

    Payment Terms:

    Payment of the deposit invoice is due within 5 days of the invoice being issued, or immediately if booked within 5 days of the event. If payment of the deposit invoice is not received within the specified time we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

    Full payment of all expected costs is required 21 days prior to the event, or immediately if booked within 21 days of the event. Any additional costs and/or adjustments will be invoiced immediately and payment is expected within 3 days.

    Payment can be made by credit card, cash, or by direct credit to our bank account (refer to invoice for bank details). For Keeps Events reserves the right to charge interest if your account is unpaid 14 days after the date of the invoice. Interest will accrue on a daily basis and will continue to accrue if we obtain a court judgement. The rate of interest will be 1.5% per calendar month.

    A credit card is required to secure all bookings. We will always enquire to you for your preferred payment option prior to charging your card. The credit card is used as a security against your booking in the case of failed payment to For Keeps Events and/or other vendors secured for your booking, or damages. This is accepted as part of your contract and is not subject to change or negotiation.

    Confirmation Of Details:

    Confirmation details will be laid at as per each contract and are dependant on outside vendors requirements. At minimum all final numbers and booking requirements are to be provided 14 days prior to the event. The number confirmed at 21 days is the minimum you will be charged for the event.

    Cancellations:

    All cancellations must be notified in writing. Cancellations giving more than 6 months’ notice will have half of their deposit refunded. Cancellations giving less than 6 months’ notice forfeit their full deposit. Cancellation within 21 days of the event will incur the above cancellation fee plus the full cost owing to vendors as per the vendors cancellation policy. Cancellations are subject to terms and conditions of vendors booked for your event; our cancellation terms may not cover monies owing to vendors these costs are the clients responsibility.

     

     

    Equipment and Venues:

    For Keeps Events will take all reasonable care with equipment and venue supplied and hired by the client and vendors, however any loss or damage to equipment will be the sole responsibility of the client. Clients are responsible for the removal of their own property and merchandise at the conclusion of their function.

    Damages:

    In the event of any damages; the client assumes responsibility for any and all damages caused. Consultation will be made prior to charging your account. For Keeps Events does not accept the responsibility for damages to, or loss of any property before, during and after the event.

    Should the hire items or the venue not be left in the same condition in which it was hired, they will be cleaned and / or repaired at the client’s expense.

    Event duration:

    Events that exceed the agreed set times will be charged extra on a pro rata basis for hire and staffing.

    ​

    Vendors:

    We take no responsibility for unsatisfactory services supplied by vendors. All vendors will have their own terms and conditions the client is responsible to adhere too.

    ​

    Liquor supply, sales and licences:

    For any event requiring For Keeps Events to supply and/or serve alcohol a liquor licence will need to be obtained. Cost to be determined in your quote. We are subject to liquor laws of New Zealand and as determined by local councils. A duty manager will be present during all events serving alcohol. Intoxicated or under-age guests will not be served alcohol. For Keeps Events reserves the right to remove intoxicated or abusive guests from the event.
